Sorry a beginner just wanted to no because I have one spare and really like these geckosCan a fully grown leopard gecko fit in a exo tera faunarium?
To 'Mayall':
Just because an enclosure is plastic does *not* mean heating equipement cannot be used. Heating lamps arent such a great idea, agreed, but heat mats attatched to thermostats (like they should be in any situation) are no problem. I have 6 plastic faunariums all heated with heat mats right now with no problems. Several different reptile companies manufacture plastic enclosures, and large scale breeders keep their entire collections in plastic racking systems with full heating.....
An adult leopard gecko cannot be kept in an exo terra faunarium though, no.
The largest two are only 14.5 x 8.5" (large) and 18 x 12"(flat).
A single adult leopard gecko should be kept in nothing smaller than a 2x1' enclosure (ideally larger) in order to fit in all necessary equipment.
No, since they are made of plastic you won't be able to attach and under tank heater, even a lamp would probably melt the lid. The largest size they have is also too small for an adult. Those plastic containers are really only good for transport or temporary storage, nothing should live in them long term. You need a 20 gal. long acrylic or glass tank. Can a fully grown leopard gecko fit in a exo tera faunarium?
